Over the last 6 months the IWDIG have hosted a series of informational and practical events to help people get online. The intended goal, to get as many people who are not already internet-savvy to go online and see the benefits for themselves.
The IWDIG are happy to open the door and run free awareness sessions to give older people and other less confident users a taste of computers and the internet. A special ’Spring Into Summer Online’ takes place on Wednesday evening between 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm. Continue Reading »

A new exhibition ‘The Age Of Innocence’ by British photographer Norman Parkinson, will go on display at Dimbola Lodge in April.
“Legendary British photographer Norman Parkinson (1913 – 1990), operated in a world of high fashion, but he was also drawn to the carefree innocence of children, capturing a lost era when childhood was an optimistic and untarnished experience.”
Alongside his passionate enthusiasm for Julia Margaret Cameron’s images of children portraying a romantic innocence, this inspired Parkinson’s own work in this genre. Continue Reading »

A new Isle of Wight photography exhibition in October will look back on the early photographic work of British film director Ken Russell.
In the 50′s as a freelance photographer Ken Russell now 83, captured the great eccentrics of his youth for posterity in photographs which remained unseen for 50 years. Read more click here
