Are you a budding journalist or a future photographer? If so, then enter Amnesty’s Young Human Rights Reporter competition.
All you have to do is write an article or take a photo on a human rights theme… and you could become the Young Human Rights Journalist/Photojournalist of 2013.
The competition is open to ages seven to 18 and is split into different age categories. Photos should be on a human rights issue and we are looking for photos which that show creativity and that make the viewer care about the story at hand. You don’t have to be an expert photographer to enter!
Photos can be taken on mobile phones or any digital camera. Permission must be sought before taking and submitting photos. Written articles can be up to 500 words long and can be about any human rights issue the reporter feels passionately about.
More information about the competition, including terms and conditions and how to enter, can be found on the Amnesty page, The deadline for entries is 18 February 2013.
