This month the Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group (IWDIG) are offering expert advice and information for the digitally challenged. We want to help ignite your interest in the internet and conquer the digital age.
To support people and organisations all over the Island we are opening our doors on 18th & 25th May 2011 as part of Spring Online Week* to give everyone a taste of what the digital world has to offer.
Hundreds of free digital taster events will be taking place across the UK during Spring Online Week.
Spring Online is a week-long celebration that builds on the success of Silver Surfers’ Day which is now in its tenth year. IWDIG will be joining over 2,000 organisations across the UK who will open their doors and invite older people to come along for a free digital taster session.
If you’re worried about how to use digital cameras, mobile phones and digital TV or even use the internet safely, the IWDIG have a list of online courses available at our fingertips to ease your mind. We open our door at Dimbola Lodge, to share information of many doors that you can open up online to view the digital world of computers, photography, phones, TV and much more.
IWDIG are offering free sessions on alternative Wednesday’s (18th & 25th May 2011 details below*) to point you in the right direction and to help you with Online Basics.
Bitesize Online basics on; how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to email, and how to search for information and stay safe online. Once you’ve got the basics, you’ll be ready to learn and practise new skills and start enjoying all the fantastic things the internet has to offer, at home and at your leisure.
And thats not all… as the IWDIG meets 50 weeks a year, we can continue to help you learn how to bring your photography to life.
Expert advice is readily available on photo uploading, downloading and storing; using email; buying and selling online etc.
We are happy to help you to dip your toe in the water of the internet, to explore digital photography and pursue your hobby online.
